Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources held its periodic meeting in its headquarters in Al-Liya, to review the operational plans of the strategic plan 2017-2021, in order to state the results of the operational plan for 2019 and review that of the current year.
The meeting was held according to the directives of H.E. Dr. Tariq Sultan Bin Khadim, Member of Sharjah Executive Council, Chairman of Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources, to follow up the Departments’ operations. It was chaired by H.E. Abdullah Salem Al Mashwi, Director of Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources in the presence of heads of the departments and Ooffices at the Directorate. At the beginning, he praised everyone’s efforts in implementing the operational plans during the past three years of the strategy’s life as well as the results and accomplishments that were achieved during 2019. He affirmed that the Directorate is striving to put the vision of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Federal Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, aiming at the development of human resources and the investment of their energies, into implementation, according to the directives of the Executive Council and its continuous follow-up of the development plans of human resources in the Government of Sharjah.
He explained, at the beginning of the meeting, the importance of job discipline for all the employees and the role of this standard in increasing the employees’ productivity and achieving the best desired results. He also confirmed the importance of the administrator being the role model for his employees, helping them to perform their tasks, assisting them in achieving their goals, addressing any problems that may hinder the workflow and finding solutions and mechanisms to support administrative development.
The minutes of the previous meeting as well as the accomplished goals were reviewed and observations guaranteeing the ultimate functioning of the Departments were made. He confirmed the importance of holding such meetings where the operations of the departments are reviewed.
The heads of departments reviewed the operational plans of their Departments that would achieve the strategic goals of the Directorate, the performance indicators and the methods of calculation thereof. The operational objectives focused on advancing the development by speeding up the government procedures, applying the human resources regulations, spreading awareness about the rights and obligations of the employees of the Government of Sharjah and the ensuing development of the mechanisms for the payment of salaries, applying the performance appraisal system in the Government of Sharjah, as well as the plans of qualification and training of job seekers in order to prepare them for the labour market, develop the training system of the employees of the Government of Sharjah, set the goals of Waffer discount programme and the methods of development and provision of the best services to the beneficiaries, apply the best administrative practices and government excellence systems and study and analyse results as well as the initiatives aimed at advancing the human resources development.
H.E. Abdullah Al Maswhi indicated that the Directorate is moving forward in achieving its strategy based on the government trends and visions, and that it has so far accomplished a large part of its goals, seeking to ensure the sustainability of improvement and development of deliverables and achieving government pioneering results.
